LOS ANGELES, CA-- With 'Big Brother' off our television's until next July, many have begun to apply for the next season of the hit CBS show. Across the pond, our friends in the United Kingdom are waiting to see which celebrity housemates will enter the house in January.
As we prepare to cover both versions of the show, all we need is a host for the show and today we finally can tell you who he is.
Stephen Anderson will be the host of the podcast "Big Brother After Party" beginning next summer it was announced this morning.
He will not just host but will also write weekly recaps for the U.K. version of the show beginning in January. As for the U.S. verson he will host a podcast after every episode as well as write his thoughts and opinions in a recap after every show.
Show creator Sylvia Perkins spoke about why Anderson was picked to host the show and why she believes he is the right person for the job.
"Stephen Anderson is respected in many fields and does well with his talk show," says Perkins. "He is a huge Big Brother fan and has watched the show since it began back in 2000, he is a fan with a mic and that is what we need."
Anderson is a former sports columnist and currently hosts a weekly talk show Round The Bases on Blog Talk Radio at 11 p.m. ET. He is often compared to Piers Morgan or Simon Cowell for his brutal honesty in the way he gives his opinions on the air.
Is Perkins worried about that?
"Not at all," Perkins replies.
Big Brother After Party will launch in July of 2012.
